My Medicine Cabinet : Crafting an all Natural First Aid and Illness Kit | Slow Living

I’m sharing my natural medicine cabinet with you and what I keep on hand to treat ailments the natural way with plants and herbs from the yard. you will see how simple and easy it is to start your own. 🌻

❤️ ” their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing ” – Ezekiel 47:12

Wound wash 🌿
3 tsp calendula (promotes healing)
3 tsp oregano (anti microbial herb)
1 tsp salt
tea bags

Headache/migraine 🍄
10 peppermint essential oil
5 lavender essential oil
5 eucalyptus essential oil
10 ml carrier oil
roll on bottle
pain relieving and soothe headaches. apply on temples or forehead.
it can also be use for insect bites and stings.

Sunburn 🌼
infuse calendula petals in boiling water then strain the petals
add aloe vera gel
20 drops lavender oil
1 tbsp honey
I use blender to smooth and mix the texture
store in the freezer. rub 1-2 cubes over sore, tender areas

Cough and sore throat 🍯
thyme ( it’s antimicrobial benefits is widely used for cough and sore throats)
Honey

Digestive bitter and Acne 🌷
Burdock root
dandelion root
40% vol alcohol like vodka
take a dropper full before or after meals when feeling bloated, gazzy etc..
can be taken straight or added into a small glass of water or your favorite drinks
these two herbs help with acne too ( it cured mine )

Muscle pain and wound salve 🌹
black pepper seed (contain capsaicin that blocks the sensation of pain)
coconut oil
ginger
Rub on painful joints and muscles. it is warm when applied so wash hands after using. keep away from eyes.
