FYL #99: Kathy Gruver | The Alternative Medicine Cabinet

You may already know a few ways to avoid getting sick like washing your hands, get enough sleep and stay hydrated but did you know that there are others you may not have thought of.
You are what you eat.

We’ve all heard that expression countless times from parents, teachers, and friends who encourage you to eat healthily. The food you eat gives your body the “information” and materials you need to function properly. Just like any computer, if you don’t get the right information into your body, your metabolic processing suffers and your health declines. You should be mindful of what you feed your body.

In today’s episode we’re here with Dr. Kathy Gruver who is going to open up her Alternative Medicine Cabinet to share with us her best tips and advice for boosting your immune system through alternative medicine. She strongly believes that the secret to the endless benefits of alternative medicine lies in the fact that it uses nature as the healer. She’ll help you better understand how alternative medicines can be a long term health benefits and overall wellness. Let’s dig deep into this episode with her as she shares more about:

* The secret of alternative medicine and why it shouldn’t really be an alternative
* How what we eat affects our health and impacts the way we live
* Suggestions on the types of foods that can keep you health, not what’s in the food pyramid
