F Sharp Chord Piano – How to Play F Sharp (F#) Major Chord on Piano

The F Sharp Major chord – also written as F# – is made up of all black notes: F#, A#, and C#.

Look for the group of three black notes. The lowest of those black notes is F sharp. Put your right hand thumb on that note.

The highest of the group of three black notes is the A sharp. Put your right hand middle finger on A sharp.

Your pinky goes on the next highest available black note, C sharp. C sharp is the lower note of the group of two black notes.

F Chord Piano - How to Play F Major Chord on Piano

The F Major Chord has three white notes: F, A, and C.

To find the notes, we use the black keys to help us locate the white notes. Locate the group of three black notes. Put your left hand pinky on the white note next to the lowest black note of the group of three.

Put your left thumb on the white note that is directly to the left of the group of two black notes.

Place the rest of your fingers on the white notes in-between your thumb and pinky. Your middle finger is on A.

Press the F, A, and C (pinky, middle, and thumb) to play the F Major Chord.
